About Shannon
Ms. Skinner's practice centers on commercial real estate and financing transactions. Her experience includes the acquisition and financing (construction and permanent) of regional shopping malls, hotels, office buildings, retail centers, manufacturing facilities, apartment buildings, cogeneration facilities and affordable housing. Conduit, corporate, margin, and swap financing transactions are part of her practice, as are aviation financing transactions. She has worked on wide range of matters, including complex urban redevelopments, resort and shopping center financing and commercial loan workouts. She has represented a substantial number of national and local lenders in making loans, developing lending policies and forms, and coordinating multi-state transactions. The restructure and foreclosure of troubled loans is also a part of her practice. In addition, she has significant experience in public/private developments that are key to urban renewal projects. Ms. Skinner is the former editor for the American Bar Association magazine, Probate & Property, and is the former co-chair of the Joint Editorial Board for Uniform Real Property Acts. She is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the Anglo American Real Property Institute. She is also past president of the Pacific Real Estate Institute and has served on the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estate Council and Washington State Bar's Real Property, Probate & Trust Law's Executive Committee.
