As a native of Northern Virginia, I have focused my practice on contested divorce, including matters of fault, property division, alimony, and custody/visitation. My clients have included c-level employees of local and national corporations, senior executive level employees of the federal government, business owners of all sorts, and stay-at-home moms and dads. I have represented clients who have hundreds of millions of dollars at stake and clients who simply want more time with their kids. In 2015 through negotiation or litigation my firm handled the equitable distribution of more than half a billion dollars in assets. I have personally represented clients in Maryland and the District of Columbia who control family asset portfolios with tens of millions of dollars and clients in Virginia with hundreds of millions of dollars. I have qualified as an Expert in Virginia Family Law in a foreign jurisdiction and been cleared by the U.S. Department of State to represent confidential government employees. Having previously operated, purchased and sold various business entities, I also bring a broad base of commercial and real estate-related experience to divorce. My professional experience includes practicing alongside the partners of several of Northern Virginia’s most prestigious family law firms and serving as a clerk for the judges of the U.S. Tax Court.
