James N. "Jamie" Broder
About James
Jamie started his career on the staff of the US House of Representatives, where he drafted the revised HUD Section 202 program to provide housing for the elderly and was appointed by the president to the Federal Council on Aging to focus on housing policy. As an attorney, his public policy experience complements his personal and professional dedication to improving the livelihood of senior citizens. In over four decades, he has worked on more than 100 projects in 29 states, including a program that housed 200,000+ seniors around the country. Jamie also leads teams in the development of electric transmission systems that help reduce energy costs while efficiently delivering power. The Neptune Project, in which he serves as general counsel, won the 2005 Project Finance Deal of the Year on Wall Street for a project that currently provides 22% of power to Long Island, NY, and helped reduce the cost of energy to ratepayers on Long Island by over $2 billion over a 20-year contract.
