Amanda S. Mueller

An experienced family law attorney and skilled litigator who's long fought for the rights of children and families, Amanda Mueller is a partner at Burnette Shutt & McDaniel. Her practice includes all facets of family law: divorce, separation, paternity, custody, child support, property division, and more. She's familiar with the nuances of military family law, and she's one of only a handful of South Carolina members of the LGBTQ+ Family Law Institute. Prior to entering private practice, Amanda served as an attorney for the South Carolina Department of Social Services. She represented the state in more than a thousand proceedings, including abuse and neglect cases involving children and vulnerable adults. Amanda has advanced training through the National Family Law Institute. That program sharpened her advocacy skills as she learned techniques the National Institute of Trial Advocates developed to meet the unique characteristics of family law cases.
