Trevor is honored to defend legacies, whether of the client him or herself, or through a loved one after somebody has died. Trevor has assisted his clients in disputes involving estates that include the family home and multi-million dollar estates with complex and varied holdings. His work has included the following: · Defending a mother in her 80s who was grantor and trustee of her trust in a trust action pursued by her son making wrongful allegations against her. · Pursuing a civil claim on behalf of a client in his 90s against his child for his son wrongfully titling a property to a trust wherein the son was the beneficiary, as opposed to it being his client’s trust, as was promised. · Representing a trustee of a trust to uphold the terms of the trust and negotiating the resolution and final distribution of the trust with her brother, who was a beneficiary represented by an attorney. · Representing a beneficiary of a trust in pursuing relief and claims against a trustee. · Pursuing claims to have a trust, trust amendment, will, or will codicil declared void on the basis of lack of capacity or undue influence, particularly when elder financial abuse appears to have led to a drastic change to an estate plan. · Pursuing claims against a financial power of attorney or trustee for wrongful conversion of funds. · Representing an Estate through its Personal Representative in pursuing claims on behalf of a person who has died.
