Taira Towne

Taira H. Towne is a partner in Wicker Smith’s Orlando office, where she focuses her practice on negligent security, trucking accidents, construction defect litigation, premises liability, wrongful death, professional liability, medical malpractice, product liability, civil litigation and commercial litigation. In 2005, Mrs. Towne graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida with a major in Political Science and a minor in English. She continued her studies at Stetson University where she earned a Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctorate in 2009. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, she practiced at a full-service national firm where she handled matters in commercial litigation, trucking accidents, construction defect, premises liability, professional liability, wrongful death, products liability and insurance defense. Mrs. Towne has also represented the State of Florida and its agencies in civil litigation matters including §1983 claims and sovereign immunity defense. Mrs. Towne was admitted to practice in the State of Florida in 2010 and is an active member of The Florida Bar, Orange County Bar Association, Orange County Sportsmen’s Association, Gator Boosters, Inc., and barrister member of The George C. Young Inn of Court since 2018.
