About Sarah
Sarah J. Miley is an experienced litigator with a focus on complex wage and hour litigation, including class, collective and hybrid actions throughout the United States. Sarah also has significant experience litigating wage and hour claims in arbitration, including mass arbitration, and assisting clients with reviewing, drafting, and rolling out arbitration agreements. In addition to her wage and hour litigation practice, Sarah represents employers in a wide variety of employment issues, including restrictive covenant disputes, and discrimination, harassment and retaliation litigation. Sarah regularly counsels employers on litigation avoidance and advises clients on issues related to: - Wage and hour compliance, including auditing payroll practices, and evaluating classification determinations - Conducting workplace investigations - Discipline and termination issues - Discrimination, harassment and retaliation - Employee handbooks, policies, and agreements, including arbitration and separation agreements During law school, she served as the managing editor for the Pittsburgh Tax Review, was a member and coach of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team and president of the student bar association. Prior to attending law school, she worked at an international infrastructure development firm in Washington, D.C.
