About Ronald

Ronald Rus limits his practice to complex business litigation and trials in all forums and was selected by his peers to Best Lawyers in America for 2009 through 2015 in the areas of Bet-The-Company Litigation, Commercial Litigation and Bankruptcy Litigation; as well as the Business Litigation Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers since 2008. He frequently serves on Continuing Education of the Bar and other Bar Association panels relating to complex litigation and bankruptcy. He was co-author of the CEB Trial Practice Institute's manual on Complex Civil Litigation, and has been a visiting lecturer on complex litigation at Stanford University School of Law. Ron has been the subject of feature articles by the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Orange County Register and the Los Angeles Daily Journal, profiling him and his cases. In 1998 Ron was chosen over some of Orange County's best attorneys as the 'Top Gun' trial lawyer by the Orange County Bar Association Business Litigation Section, was designated as co-lead counsel in the historic ACC/Lincoln Savings securities litigation in 1992 and has successfully tried numerous multi-million dollar cases to verdict for plaintiffs and defendants. Ron was selected to serve as a lawyer delegate to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference in 2007-2009. He is a Master of the Bench in the American Inns of Court, is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association. He was a founder and a director of the Federal Bar Association (Orange County Chapter) and is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. Ron was selected and served as a Commissioner of the California State Bar, Judicial Nominees Evaluation ("JNE") Commission, 2004-2005 and 2005-2006. He was a founding director of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and served as the President of that organization from 1989-1990. He served on the Board of Directors of the California Bankruptcy Forum from 1989-1994 and was chosen as the Chairman of that organization's annual conference in 1994.
