About Richard

Richard L. Farley serves as deputy counsel to the firm. Richard helps businesses and their owners across industries avoid and solve the problems, disputes and controversies that can impact their bottom lines. He counsels clients on managing risk in the structuring of contracts and transactions to avoid disputes. When disputes arise, he works closely with his clients to develop appropriate strategies for litigation or voluntary resolution in light of their business goals and potential risks. Richard knows that understanding his client's business is the first step to preventing disputes and resolving disputes strategically and assertively. Richard's litigation practice focuses on general business and contractual disputes, with significant experience in construction, fraud and unfair trade practices, real estate, zoning and restrictive covenants, director and fiduciary liability, derivative and shareholder disputes, employment and non-competition covenants, trade secrets, wills and trusts, trademarks, insurance coverage and extra-contractual liability. He also counsels on construction and commercial foreclosure matters and provides a full range of services to the motor-sports industry, including drivers, teams, sponsors and suppliers. In addition, he provides regulatory advice and counseling to mortgage and mortgage insurance companies and contract and license negotiation and drafting to a variety of industries. Richard began his career working at a small general practice firm, representing local businesses and their entrepreneur owners for more than 10 years, where he participated in every area of practice and business. He continues to maintain that personal touch in his practice.
