Rachel H. Boyd

Rachel represents businesses and individuals in North Carolina state, federal, and business courts. She focuses her practice on complex business litigation, employment litigation, and premises liability. Prior to joining Young Moore, Rachel served as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph N. Callaway at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Rachel earned her law degree (cum laude) from Wake Forest University School of Law. During her time at Wake Forest, Rachel served as a notes and comments editor for the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law; the teacher’s assistant for Business Organizations, Appellate Advocacy, and Special Topics in Business Organizations; a tutor for Property Law; and the Outreach Coordinator of the Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition. Rachel also served as a student attorney at the Wake Forest Community Law and Business Clinic and as a Judicial Extern at the United Stated District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Rachel is a magna cum laude graduate of East Tennessee State University with a degree in Political Science. During her undergraduate studies, Rachel founded the ETSU Pre-Law Society and served as its president for two years. She also served as a senator and a committee chair in the Student Government Association. A native of Virginia, Rachel is a classically trained opera singer and an abstract art painter. From grade school through middle school, Rachel worked as a professional actress at a world-renowned theatre. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, outdoor activities, and spending time with her parents and her two dogs. She also enjoys giving back to the community and is active in several organizations in the community.
