Margaret has more than twenty years of experience focused on high-asset and complex divorce cases. Margaret’s clients include business owners, public figures, elected officials, executives of publicly traded companies, successful inventors, attorneys, doctors, dentists, retirees, those with inherited wealth, and many others. Her cases regularly involve issues relating to the valuation and division of complex assets such as business interests, trust rights, stock options, investment real estate, foreign assets, private equity interests, and intellectual property rights. Margaret’s practice focuses on the private, creative and client-centered resolution of family matters primarily through mediation, negotiation, collaborative law, and other settlement techniques, but with the recognition that litigation and trial are sometimes necessary to resolve family disputes. Margaret is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), a distinction that signifies her reputation as one of the best family law attorneys in the country. The New Hampshire Supreme Court has appointed her to serve four successive terms on attorney discipline system committees, first on the Professional Conduct Committee (an adjudicatory arm of the attorney discipline system) and then on the Complaint Screening Committee (a committee that determines whether there is sufficient evidence of a violation to warrant further processing of a complaint). Margaret has significant trial experience and holds the designation of NITA Advocate. She is listed in New Hampshire Magazine’s Best Lawyers and holds a Martindale AV rating, the highest possible rating. In addition, Margaret is recognized by Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Family Law, Mediation, Arbitration, and Collaborative Law.
