Lori R. Keeton

Lori Keeton has been practicing law in North Carolina since 1998. She regularly represents individuals, businesses and municipalities in civil actions in both state and federal courts. In addition, she regularly assists her clients with contract negotiations and disputes.Ms. Keeton also utilizes her twenty years of litigation experience to assist companies in minimizing their litigation risks. She offers clients a full analysis of their current risk level based upon, among other things, their existing insurance coverage, vendor agreements and terms of service as well as their policies, procedures and training materials and advises them on how to maximize these and other tools to avoid being sued. In conjunction with this aspect of her practice, she also regularly speaks to business owners, event planners and other professionals about risk management issues including safety concerns, security considerations, alcohol service, claims investigations and record keeping. She is also a licensed mediator. Prior to opening her own firm, Ms. Keeton practiced at Parker Poe Adams and Bernstein for fifteen years and then worked at a boutique litigation firm for approximately four years.
