Laurence LeSueur

Lon LeSueur’s multi-faceted practice focuses on complex and commercial litigation. He has deep litigation experience, having earned victories for his clients in state and federal courts in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, as well as various arbitration forums. Lon has successfully represented clients through all stages of litigation from case development and initial fillings, motion practice, discovery, trial, and appeal. Lon’s recent appellate experience includes three victories at the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, including two reversals. Substantively, Lon’s practice includes representing whistleblowers in high-stakes False Claim Act (FCA) litigation involving healthcare fraud across the country, and he helps author the seminal FCA healthcare treatise—Health Care Fraud: Enforcement and Compliance. Lon has also litigated class actions, shareholder derivative claims, intellectual property actions, contract disputes, securities claims, as well as products liability and environmental/toxic tort matters. And Lon maintains a strong insurance coverage practice, representing carriers in high-stakes bad faith cases. Before joining the firm, Lon served as a law clerk to the Honorable Susie Morgan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. He received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. While at LSU Law, Lon served as a Senior Associate of the Louisiana Law Review.
