Joy Miyasaki is a Partner in the firm’s Honolulu office, and a member of the Tax, Estate Plan and Trust Administration practice group, concentrating in tax and estate planning, wealth preservation and asset protection, charitable planning and tax-exempt organizations, trust and estate administration, and trust and estate disputes and litigation. Joy received an A.B. and J.D. from Georgetown University. Her prior experience includes being a trial attorney with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel and a partner with a private law firm in Connecticut and New York (nka Withers Bergman). A leading tax and estate planning attorney, Joy’s distinctions include being a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell, listed in Chambers & Partners (Private Wealth Law), and recognized in Best Lawyers, including named as ”Lawyer of the Year“ in three of the last four years. Joy is also actively involved in numerous civic and community organizations.
