John M. Cerilli represents employers with respect to all aspects of labor and employment law. His traditional labor law practice focuses on: The National Labor Relations Act Strikes and picketing Labor contract administration Arbitration Collective bargaining Union organizing Plant closings and mass layoffs Corporate transactions Wage and hour In his employment practice, John provides counseling and training on a wide range of employment matters, such as: Reductions-in-force Personnel policies Hiring and firing Workers' compensation Discrimination He regularly appears before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, the Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission and other governmental agencies. John also advises both self-insured and insured employers regarding various aspects of their workers' compensation programs, including issues unique to employers with staff in multiple states, strategies for reducing workers' compensation costs, litigation strategy and the interrelationship of workers' compensation and employment and labor laws. During the period of 1982 to 1987, John was a field examiner with the NLRB's Region Six office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
