Jay H. Kern

Jay H. Kern is a business law and civil litigation attorney in New Orleans, Louisiana, who practices primarily in the construction industry, including delay and interference claims, surety claims, general contract litigation, and professional liability matters. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University in 1973 and his Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in 1976. Before entering private practice in 1979, Kern served as a Staff Attorney and later Assistant Attorney General with the Louisiana Department of Justice, representing the State on public works construction projects.
