About Jason

Jason Walters is a litigation partner in the firm's insurance group and serves as national and regional counsel for several life and health insurance companies. His practice focuses on both individual and class action litigation, with particular emphasis in the area of fraudulent sales practices and the bad faith denial of benefits for life insurance, annuities, and long term care products. Jason also has extensive experience defending insurers in litigation filed by agents and independent marketing organizations in cases that typically involve damages for lost profits. Jason has been frequently published on issues of importance to life and health insurance companies. In addition to his litigation experience, Jason has counseled clients on reducing legal expenses through the use of alternative fee agreements. Jason has structured significant alternative fee agreements for both individual and class action litigation and has been published on the topic. Jason is Vice-Chair of the ABA Life Insurance Law General Committee and a member of the Association of Life Insurance Counsel and the DRI Life, Health and Disability Committee.
