    Jim Williams is a shareholder in Dentons Sirote’s Birmingham, Alabama office, where he is a member of the Litigation practice group, leads the Insurance Litigation team and serves on the Firm’s Board of Directors/Executive Committee. Jim was born and raised in Birmingham. Now in his thirty-first year at Dentons Sirote, formerly Sirote & Permutt, PC, Jim handles civil litigation, with a particular focus on life, health and disability insurance litigation; insurance coverage disputes; banking litigation, having served as general counsel to a local community bank for many years; trust, estate, and probate litigation; shareholder oppression and derivative lawsuits; construction litigation; and all forms of commercial litigation on behalf of individuals and businesses. Jim has handled matters in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, and Arkansas. He also handles appeals in state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
