J. S. "Chris" Christie Jr.

J.S. "Chris" Christie is Of Counsel in Dentons Sirote’s Litigation practice group, based in Birmingham, Alabama. He has handled many False Claims Act cases, class actions, and bet-the-company cases and many cases involving stock valuations, financial expert witnesses and statistical expert witnesses. He frequently speaks and publishes on employee benefits, legal ethics, and trial techniques. In employee benefits litigation, Chris represents plans, fiduciaries, and insurers in ERISA cases and in governmental plan cases. He has tried several ERISA fiduciary breach trials. Since 2012, he has been a Fellow with the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel. In healthcare litigation, Chris primarily represents hospitals, physicians and other providers and also has represented insurers, HMOs and other managed care organizations. For healthcare clients, he has tried and won at trial two healthcare False Claims Act cases against the Department of Justice.
