About
My specialty is helping clients identify, develop and capitalize from their intellectual property. As a former controls engineer with 18 years of experience practicing before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, I have the skill and perspective to guide clients in developing their patents and trademarks, whether theirs are emerging or mature portfolios. I also assist clients with corporate transactions and internal policies. My clients range from startups to Fortune 500 companies spanning diverse technologies, including medical device, mining/energy, consumer products and software/Saas. I also resolve IP disputes through litigation, arbitration, mediation and by direct negotiation. My last two trials resulted in a finding of willful infringement in my clients’ favor. I am admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the 10th and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals, and in several other Federal District Courts, and frequently represent clients before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
