He passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam for Civil Engineering in 2009 before attending Campbell University School of Law. In 2012, Evan graduated magna cum laude, finishing third in a class size of 145. While in law school, he was an editor of the Campbell Law Review and a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity.
