About
Erik Mortensen develops and executes winning strategies in complex commercial disputes, particularly consumer class actions and intellectual property cases. He also advises clients with novel and disruptive technologies on how to comply with competition and consumer-protection laws and regulations. Erik has won dismissal at early stages of litigation, defeated class certification, negotiated favorable settlements, efficiently managed high-volume discovery, and crafted winning appellate briefs. He maintains an active pro-bono practice, helping survivors of domestic violence and tenants of abusive landlords. After law school, Erik clerked for the Honorable Mark L. Wolf of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Prior to joining DTO, he honed his skills at Cooley LLP. When not litigating, Erik enjoys spending time with his family and playing Dungeons & Dragons with his friends. Erik is based in DTO’s Silicon Valley office, but practices in jurisdictions around the country.
