Elizabeth A. Powers is an Associate in Bayard’s Litigation Department. Beth has represented and advised clients in a wide range of corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Supreme Court, Delaware Court of Chancery and Delaware Superior Court, including the Complex Commercial Litigation Division. Beth’s practice focuses primarily on complex contract disputes, business divorce cases, judicial dissolutions of corporations and limited liability companies, disputes regarding fiduciary duties of officers and directors of corporations, actions for advancement or indemnification of attorneys’ fees and expenses, and anti-suit injunctions. Beth is an active member of legal community organizations including the American Bar Association, the Delaware State Bar Association and the Richard S. Rodney American Inn of Court. In 2018, 2019, and 2020 Super Lawyers® recognized Beth as a Delaware Rising Star in the business/corporate field. Prior to joining Bayard, Beth practiced in the corporate and commercial litigation group at another Wilmington law firm. Beth earned her J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2010. After law school, Beth served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mary M. Johnston, a member of the Delaware Superior Court’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division.
