About Destinee

Destinee is a magna cum laude graduate of Tulane University Law School, where she was elected to Order of the Coif and was Senior Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. While at Tulane, Destinee earned a Certificate in Maritime Law and was awarded the Charles Kohlmeyer Jr. Award for outstanding J.D. graduate in maritime law. While in law school, she also interned for Chief Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Wilkinson, Jr. She completed her undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University, earning a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Biological Sciences. Destinee is also a graduate of St. Mary's Dominican High School. After graduating from Tulane, Destinee joined the Marine Group of an international law firm where she was directly involved in numerous maritime and commercial litigation matters. Destinee has acted on behalf of blue water ship owners, carriers, logistics providers, oil and gas providers, small and large companies, and their insurers. Destinee has gained invaluable experience at all stages of the litigation process, from pre-dispute negotiations to formal litigation. Since joining Lugenbuhl in October 2018, Destinee has continued to utilize her experience to solve complex legal problems. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Louisiana and the State of California. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana as well as the United States District Court for Central, Southern, and Northern Districts of California.
