    David F. Waguespack is a partner in the Firm, practicing in bankruptcy, commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, and gaming law. He has represented lenders, debtors, creditor committees, and other parties in complex Chapter 11 reorganizations and related litigation and has served as a Chapter 11 trustee. Mr. Waguespack regularly represents investors acquiring property in and out of bankruptcy. He has handled litigation relating to liens, real estate, construction, shareholder’s rights, lender liability, and other commercial matters. Mr. Waguespack is recognized for his work in bankruptcy and restructuring in Best Lawyers, Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, Louisiana Super Lawyers, and the Legal 500. He was selected by New Orleans CityBusiness to be in the Leadership in Law Class of 2008. He is board certified in business bankruptcy law by the American and Louisiana Boards of Certification. He is a co-chair of the Corporate Governance Subcommittee of the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association and serves on the TARP Task Force of the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the American Bar Association. Mr. Waguespack is currently Vice-Chair of the Bankruptcy Law Advisory Committee. He has served on the Bank Counsel Committee of the Louisiana Banker's Association and as editor of the Louisiana Lender Letter. Mr. Waguespack is also an adjunct professor of business law at Tulane University. Mr. Waguespack graduated with a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in 1991. He was a member of the Tulane Law Review from 1989 to 1991 and an Associate Editor from 1990 to 1991. He received the Mitchell Franklin and American Jurisprudence Awards and was a Senior Fellow. Mr. Waguespack is a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Waguespack is active in numerous civic and charitable organizations. He is married with two children. He was born in Covington, Louisiana on September 14, 1966. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes College in 1988 where he graduated with the John Henry Davis Award for the outstanding History major.
