Bruce joined CCBLaw as a Member in 2018 when his former firm, Wood & Smith, P.C., combined with CCBLaw. He represents individual health care providers, group practices and other health-related organizations on a variety of health care, operational and transactional matters. Bruce has expertise in fraud and abuse, self-referral (including the Stark Law), antitrust, Medicare compliance and other health-specific legal areas that impact whether, and on what terms, business transactions and other relationships between or among health care providers can be undertaken. Bruce also regularly represents clients, including physicians and physician-hospital joint ventures, in connection with the establishment, development, financing and operation of Article 28 ambulatory surgery centers. Bruce handles a broad range of sophisticated real estate transactions including property acquisitions and sales, leasing and real estate financing. He is also experienced in industrial development agency (IDA) transactions, having represented industrial development agencies as regular or special counsel, beneficiary companies, bond trustees and/or letter of credit issuers on a wide variety of projects.
