Brandon Neuman’s practice focuses on advising businesses and individuals on complex issues, ranging from strategic and risk management advice, regulatory and internal investigations, through bet-the-company litigation. He counsels clients on all aspects of business operations, regulatory compliance and complex commercial litigation. Brandon regularly serves as outside General Counsel for client institutions and businesses, where he manages a wide variety of legal matters such as internal investigations, audits, regulatory examinations, and other industry-specific matters. He also has extensive litigation experience representing clients in state and federal courts, including the North Carolina Business Court, and arbitrations, throughout the country. He has successfully handled complex commercial litigation, class actions, contract disputes, employment matters and other various technological issues facing businesses and individuals. Brandon’s clients include financial institutions, broker-dealers, investment advisors, and other industry members in matters under the jurisdiction of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Prior to joining Shanahan Law Group, Brandon was in-house with the Fortune 500 Company, Gateway, Inc., in San Diego, California, where he provided strategic business advice and managed various complex commercial litigation matters. He later joined a large national law firm where he continued to handle cases involving complex commercial and business litigation. In 2013, the Governor of North Carolina appointed Brandon to the N.C. Banking Commission. During his four years as a member of the Banking Commission, Brandon chaired the North Carolina Banking Rules Subcommittee and served as a member of the Virtual Currency Advisory Subcommittee.
