Brady McShane provides legal advice to clients on political, regulatory, and environmental issues involved in developing property in California and Colorado. His practice focuses on securing land use approvals, regulatory permits, and environmental clearance from government agencies, directing public policy and government relations strategies and counseling clients on land use issues pertaining to the acquisition, disposition, and financing of properties. Brady’s broad range of land use experience includes work on single and multifamily residential communities, hotels, hospitals, regional shopping centers, big box and specialty retail stores, industrial warehouse and logistics centers, mining projects, restaurants, performing arts theaters, sports stadiums, and self-storage facilities. He also advises institutional lenders on land use and entitlement issues associated with distressed assets. Brady has deep experience with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Subdivision Map Act, the Coastal Act, the Mello Act, and other local, state, and federal land use regulations.
