    About Bonnie

Bonnie Richardson has been a trial lawyer for 24 years and is a champion for causes in which people have been wronged by the powerful and privileged. She is driven by the desire to successfully resolve challenging and difficult cases, particularly complex commercial litigation. Bonnie is highly regarded for her work on behalf of clients who seek to hold attorneys and other professionals accountable for malpractice. She is also one of the top attorneys for large, complex estate and trust cases. Bonnie’s work in this area is driven by her passion to protect the elderly, whether it is from financial elder abuse, physical and sexual assault or negligence by nursing homes. Bonnie is the president-elect of the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association and serves on a number of committees, panels and boards. Bonnie is a national speaker on attorney legal malpractice and ethics, and she frequently presents at Continuing Legal Education seminars for attorneys at the Oregon State Bar, Multnomah Bar Association, the National Business Institute and many other organizations. Bonnie has been selected for years as one of Oregon’s Super Lawyers®, where she is listed in the top 25 women lawyers and top 50 lawyers in Oregon. In 2020, Bonnie received the Portland Business Journal Women of Influence award alongside other amazing women leaders – Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum and Oregon Supreme Court Justice Adrienne Nelson. In 2016, the Multnomah Bar Association selected Bonnie as the recipient of its prestigious and highest honor — the Professionalism Award. Bonnie received the Portland Business Journal Forty Under 40 award in 2011, and in 2009, Bonnie received the Multnomah Bar Association Pro Bono Award of Merit, recognizing her for exceptional legal services. Her commitment to justice was featured by the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association in the article "Making a Difference: Justice for Those in Need.“
