Ann counsels clients on a wide range of environmental regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters. Ann guides clients through complex and routine environmental components of their operations including environmental due diligence, audits, permitting, compliance, and enforcement actions. Ann works with clients to develop effective plans of action that withstand judicial scrutiny, including permitting strategies, insurance and indemnity provisions, redevelopment plans, and administrative settlements. She leverages broad knowledge of environmental policies and regulatory agency processes to help clients develop proactive strategies, as well as responses when disputes or regulatory actions arise. Ann also defends clients in administrative actions and citizen suits arising under the CWA. Clients with asset or equity transactions turn to Ann at the due diligence phase to identify potential environmental liabilities and develop strategies to protect their interests by minimizing existing and future risks. Ann provides sage counsel on transactions involving energy and infrastructure, redevelopment, remediation, and decommissioning agreements.
