Andrew Harris is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group.Andrew represents closely held businesses, publicly traded companies, and entrepreneurs on a broad array of complex, commercial concerns. He assists clients with the protection of their intellectual property, such as prosecution and defense of trademark, copyright, and patent infringement claims, as well as trade secrets litigation. Andrew also focuses his practice on remedying the practical problems small businesses frequently encounter, including intra-corporate disputes, the proper exercise of fiduciary responsibilities, and proceedings involving regulatory bodies and administrative agencies. Andrew has a strong attention to detail, which has served his clients well in disputes involving bank fraud, complex financial transactions, and intangible property rights. Before joining Jones Walker, Andrew served as a law clerk to the Honorable Daniel P. Jordan III of the US District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. While in law school, Andrew received the Mississippi Law Journal Award and the Pat D. Holcomb Memorial Award for Excellence, among others, and was named to the Dean's List each semester. Outside the practice of law, Andrew serves on the board of directors for Jackson-based Willowood Developmental Center, whose mission is to assist, educate, empower, and advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
