About Andrew

Andrew Bellwoar is an associate in the Washington, D.C. Region office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He has a blend of experience representing government agencies and private employers in litigation over a wide range of subject matters, as well as providing advice and counsel to prevent and resolve disputes before they go to trial. Andrew’s litigation practice focuses on representing employers in a variety of legal matters, including harassment and discrimination claims arising under federal and state laws; whistleblower claims; and defamation cases. He also has experience enforcing non-compete and non-disclosure agreements. He is involved in every step of the litigation process, from conducting initial fact investigations for clients through conducting and defending depositions, writing and arguing dispositive motions, and trial. His hands-on approach and guidance seeks to help clients feel at ease throughout the entire process. In addition to his litigation practice, Andrew provides advice and counsel to clients on subject matters including fiduciary duties of employees, potential whistleblower claims, and mandatory disclosures to employees, to help clients avoid litigation. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Andrew worked with a general litigation law firm in New Jersey where he served as lead counsel in a variety of matters, gaining valuable experience interacting with clients directly and managing all aspects of their cases. While attending the law school, Andrew was a notes editor on the International Law Review, where he wrote a Note on regulation of derivatives, including whistleblower provisions based on the Dodd-Frank Act. He was also a judges’ chair on the Mock Trial team, guiding student participants and attorney judges alike in best practices for participating in Mock Trial competitions. Andrew is a Pennsylvania native and has lived and worked throughout the Mid-Atlantic United States. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, and both are involved in local charities focused on animal welfare and promoting leadership in impoverished communities through team sports and performance art.
