    About Amy

    Amy J. Gittler is a principal in the Phoenix, Arizona, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She managed the Phoenix office from its opening in 2007 to 2012. Amy advises, counsels, and defends corporations and business professionals in all aspects of employment, including wrongful termination, sexual harassment, wage and hour, and employment discrimination. Amy is a frequent lecturer in the area of employment law and regularly conducts harassment prevention training programs for businesses. In 1983, Amy argued and prevailed before the United States Supreme Court in Arizona Governing Committee v. Norris, a case which held it is unlawful for an employer to pay lower monthly benefits to women than men upon retirement. Amy has successfully represented employers in state and federal court in the full range of employment matters including discrimination, sexual harassment, ADA, ERISA, whistle blowing, and wage and hour claims. She has obtained summary judgment in state and federal court in cases alleging wrongful termination, sexual harassment, and national origin discrimination. Amy has successfully arbitrated matters through the American Arbitration Association' defended and prosecuted cases involving non-competes and non-solicitation agreements, obtaining injunctions against former employees; and defended hundreds of charges before the EEOC and ACRD. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Amy was a member of the law firm of Frazer Ryan Goldberg Arnold & Gittler LLP. Early in her career, Amy was executive director of the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest, where her practice concentrated in the areas of employment discrimination and the rights of persons with mental and physical disabilities.
