Alexandra R. French
About Alexandra
Growing up in a farming community with a family background in the sale and application of crop protection products, Alexandra saw first-hand the importance of agriculture and the challenges facing the industry in an increasingly regulated and financially strained space. In view of these opportunities and challenges, Alexandra represents her clients in litigation matters that arise at various stages in the farm-to-food pipeline, from contractual disputes, to personal injury and products liability concerns, to liability arising from succession planning and other trust and estate issues. She remains committed and connected to Indiana's agricultural community. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg full time, Alexandra was a summer associate in the firm's Indianapolis office. She also gained legal experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable Paul D. Mathias of the Indiana Court of Appeals in 2013. Previously, she has served as an intern with the U.S. Supreme Court, United Kingdom Parliament, the office of former Indiana Lt. Gov. Rebecca S. Skillman and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. While earning her J.D., she was secretary of Virginia Law Women and a student practitioner in the First Amendment Clinic. Pursuing her undergraduate degree, she participated in Purdue Musical Organizations and Purdue Student Government.
