About Susan

Sue skillfully navigates M&A transactions and equity financings, finding solutions to ensure her client’s goals are met. With both law firm and corporate management experience, she understands that managing internal constituencies – from the executive team to the board of directors to investors to employees – can be as important to the deal process as negotiating with the other side. Sue and her team focus on mid-market deals, typically ranging from $25 million to $2 billion. Sue is a seasoned boardroom and executive team advisor, often acting as outside general counsel. She advises management teams and boards of directors with respect to strategic and financial transactions and other relationships, board and shareholder fiduciary obligations, general corporate matters, business and intellectual property strategies, executive compensation and employment agreements, and formation of new business entities. Clients also benefit from Sue’s experience as the Chief Legal Officer of a software company with global operations where she managed the Legal and Human Resources departments. Sue serves as the Administrative Partner for Holland & Hart's headquarters office in Denver.
