Ms. Reckord's litigation practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. Her representation of clients includes matters in the areas of banking, employment, family law, trusts & estates, class action defense, consumer fraud, construction and commercial real estate. Ms. Reckord represents condominium associations and unit owners in construction-related matters including contract disputes, consumer fraud cases and RICO claims. She represents developers in arbitrations and litigation proceedings regarding construction defects, including buildings and heavy construction projects. In the banking and financial services sector, Ms. Reckord represents secured creditors in all aspects of asset recovery and foreclosure. Her experience also includes defending financial institutions from claims and counterclaims alleging lender liability based upon fraud, breach of contract, and breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing. In the area of trusts and estates litigation, Ms. Reckord's experience encompasses will contests based upon lack of mental capacity and undue influence, the prosecution and defense of applications for the disqualification of executors and trustees, the attack and defense of prenuptial agreements, and claims involving a spouse's right to an elective share of an estate. Her work in the area of family law includes matters related to divorce, alimony, child support, equitable distribution, custody and parenting time, as well as post-judgment modification and enforcement.
