She is also valued for her realistic guidance and practical solutions to any challenges that may arise after issuance. She has assisted on monitorships and is a member of the core team assisting the Special Compliance Coordinator appointed by the U.S. Department of Commerce to monitor, assess and report on the U.S. export control compliance of Zhongxing Telecommunications Equipment Corporation, of Shenzhen, China, and ZTE Kangxun Telecommunications Ltd. of Hi-New Shenzhen, China (collectively, ZTE). Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Renee was a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. As a former examiner, Renee offers clients unique perspective on navigating the patent system, negotiating protections for their technologies and determining an efficient plan of action for patent allowance.
