    About Marko

    Marko C. Maglich is a Shareholder in the White Plains, N.Y. office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Mr. Maglich practices immigration law exclusively, and is a member of the firm’s Immigration practice group. Mr. Maglich’s practice deals with all aspects of business-related visas, compliance by employers and individuals with U.S. immigration law (including in M&A transactions and workplace enforcement), and in proceedings before the Departments of State, Homeland Security, and Labor. His practice includes family-based immigration, complex consular issues, and removal and admissibility on criminal and other grounds. He works with specialized tax counsel to advise many private clients on the immigration component of tax and immigration planning. Mr. Maglich also assists in coordinating ”outbound“ (non-U.S.) immigration work. Prior to moving over to Jackson Lewis, Mr. Maglich directed the corporate U.S. immigration practice of a large international law firm. Mr. Maglich has been recognized as one of New York’s and America’s ”Best Lawyers“ in immigration since 2010, and ”Best Lawyers“ has rated his practice as a Tier 1 practice for 2013 and 2014. He is listed for Corporate Immigration expertise in "Who's Who Legal." Mr. Maglich has been a speaker, author, and teacher on immigration topics for organizations and schools including the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Practising Law Institute (PLI). Mr. Maglich authored ”Don’t Forget About Me“ for the AILA Immigration Handbook in 2004 and ”Special Registration of Certain Nonimmigrants,“ 80 Interpreter Releases 150 (2003). Mr. Maglich is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is admitted to practice in New York; and Federally in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Mr. Maglich received his A.B. from Sarah Lawrence College. He received his J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law, where he received public interest awards for launching human and civil rights projects; was a Joseph R. Crowley Scholar in International Human Rights (co-authoring the report Justice On Trial: State Security Courts, Police Impunity, and Intimidation Of Human Rights Defenders In Turkey, published in 22 Fordham Int’l L.J. (1999)); and was a Louis Stein Scholar in Public Interest Law. He is admitted to practice in New York State and federally in the Southern District of New York.
