John McCarthy, Jr. is Senior Counsel in the firm's Real Estate Group. He has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate transactions, including financing, development, sales and acquisitions, leasing, sale-leaseback transactions, commercial mortgage-backed securities transactions, loan restructurings and partnership matters. Mr. McCarthy's recent transactions include the representation of The Bank of New York as the agent for a syndicate of banks in connection with the construction financing for major landmark buildings and corporate headquarters in New York, representation of The Chase Manhattan Bank in connection with numerous syndicated credit facilities, including credit facilities for various real estate-related investment funds, representation of General Electric Credit Corporation in connection with the establishment of a syndicated lending program, representation of various investment banks in connection with numerous multi-state loans and the establishment of conduit loan programs, including the preparation of standardized loan documentation for all aspects of such programs.
