About Jennifer

Jennifer McGeorge vigorously defends public and private employers in employment litigation, with a particular focus on class and representative actions involving claims for wage and hour violations. Jennifer has obtained numerous successful results for her clients as lead counsel before state and federal courts, the State Labor Commissioner, and in arbitration. Jennifer also has written and argued appeals and writ petitions before California Courts of Appeal, and is a zealous advocate for her employer clients. While Jennifer's litigation and administrative agency experience is extensive, it is not the sole focus of her practice. She also is passionate about providing preventative counsel to employers in a variety of areas to mitigate the risk of claims. Jennifer routinely advises clients on employee discipline and discharge, leaves of absence, anti-discrimination practices, and wage and hour issues. Additionally, Jennifer is adept in drafting employment contracts, severance agreements, personnel policies, and employee handbooks. The clients Jennifer has represented operate in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, security, insurance, restaurants, transportation and trucking companies, household occupations, professional and technical firms, celebrities, and many California cities and public entities. While in law school, Jennifer was a member of the McGeorge Law Review and for one of her published articles, she received the Stauffer Charitable Trust Award for excellence in legal writing and analysis.
