Attorney J.D. Praasterink joined Kuhn Rogers as a partner in April of 2019. Prior to becoming a member of the firm, J.D. headed a thriving general law practice in Saint Ignace. J.D.’s practice with Kuhn Rogers is concentrated in the areas of business, real estate, probate, estate planning, family law, and general civil litigation. J.D. enjoys serving the needs of the Traverse City community and appreciates the opportunity to spend time getting to know his clients and their needs while answering their questions about the legal process. J.D. understands that people often come to him at a time of both personal and legal crisis, and takes pride in offering clear-eyed guidance rooted in his extensive practice experience. J.D.’s motto in practice has always been ”honest and effective,“ and those traits are the underpinning of his practice. He offers clients candid, thorough advice that allows them to make informed decisions in their legal matters. He then develops a plan and advocates for them to achieve the outcome they seek. Clients and colleagues alike appreciate J.D.’s straightforward nature, attention to detail, and focused advocacy. When not working, J.D. enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, brewing beer, and spending time with his wife and their six children.
