Mr. Hendrix has practiced law for twenty-five years, specializing in complex criminal litigation that includes white collar, public corruption, and death penalty cases. He has served as the Chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Arkansas Bar, where he founded subcommittees for Indigent Defense and Death Penalty Oversight, and presently serves on the Arkansas Bar’s Editorial Board and Joint Task Force on Time Standards. He is past Vice-President and Editor-in-Chief of the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Hendrix was involved in representing numerous individuals during the Whitewater Investigation of the President and First Lady, and his clients have included politicians and judges, as well as members of the Secret Service and Department of Justice. He became involved in death penalty litigation in 1991 when he successfully defended the first of his numerous capital clients from the death penalty. Mr. Hendrix has been involved in post-conviction litigation that has resulted in two inmates being removed from Arkansas’ Death Row and represented one of the "West Memphis 3" who were recently released from prison.
