Rick Sanchez is a member of the Fort Worth law firm of Whitaker Chalk Swindle & Schwartz PLLC. Rick represents clients in the acquisition and enforcement of intellectual property rights. As part of his practice, he has prosecuted patents, trademarks, and copyrights; litigated patent, trademark, and copyright matters; managed concurrent international patent litigation in multiple countries; counseled clients regarding their international intellectual property portfolios; negotiated international patent licenses; and drafted and negotiated IP license, joint development, master services, and acquisition agreements. Before practicing law in Fort Worth, Rick earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from New Mexico State University and a J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, where he was selected for the Order of Barristers. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve as a Cryptologic Officer, after having been selected for Direct Commission as an enlisted petty officer – prior to which he was enlisted Army.
