Experienced Trial Lawyer Delivering Results Dan joined Fishel Downey Albrecht & Riepenhoff LLP as a Partner in August 2013. He led the firm as Managing Partner in 2018 and 2019. He received his law degree from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Youngstown State University. Dan is a trial attorney and enhances the insurance defense and law enforcement liability sections of the firm. He is experienced in employment and civil rights litigation, law enforcement liability, administrative matters, arbitrations, civil service law, collective bargaining, as well as representing insurance companies and their insureds in a wide variety of litigation matters. Dan frequently presents seminars and training in a variety of fields including insurance liability and law enforcement liability and conducts trainings to Ohio Sheriffs about legal issues confronting task forces through the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association. Dan is a member of the Federal and Ohio State Bar Associations, Columbus Bar Association, and a member of the Defense Research Institute, as well as Public Risk Management Association. Dan was named to the 2013-2020 Super Lawyers and 2015-2020 Best Lawyers listings, recognized for his outstanding work in the area of Civil Litigation Defense. Dan is tough in the courtroom, but not tough to work with. On the Personal Side Dan most enjoys spending time with his wife Laura and their two daughters, both competitive swimmers. He is also an avid sports fan.
