Benjamin A. Snyder is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Specialist in Immigration Law and partner at Charlotte Immigration Law Firm. Mr. Snyder manages Charlotte Immigration Law Firm's employment and investment-based immigration practice. His work includes preparing and filing nonimmigrant visa petitions and applications, such as for E, H, L, O, P, R, and TN visas, as well as employment-based immigrant visa matters, including PERM based EB-2 and EB-3 petitions, EB-1 petitions for multinational executives and managers, outstanding researchers, or those with extraordinary ability, EB-2's with National Interest Waivers (NIW), EB-5 entrepreneur petitions, and EB-4 petitions for religious workers. Mr. Snyder has experience representing clients in virtually all manner of immigration matters, including family-based immigration petitions, inadmissibility waivers, consular processing at US consulates around the world, naturalizations and other citizenship applications, asylum and other humanitarian cases (SIJS, U Visas, VAWA, I-730's,etc.), removal defense, administrative appeals, and federal litigation. Mr. Snyder is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), for which he currently serves as the Carolinas Chapter Media Liaison and previously served as AILA Liaison for the USCIS Charlotte Field Office. Mr. Snyder currently serves on the North Carolina State Bar Immigration Specialization Committee. Mr. Snyder has been a guest lecturer at Elon University School of Law and Wingate University. He has taught Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses hosted by AILA and Mecklenburg County Bar. Mr. Snyder regularly gives presentations for industry groups and community-based organizations throughout the Carolinas. Mr. Snyder earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Guilford College with majors in Philosophy and Peace and Conflict Studies. He earned his Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law. While at Elon, Mr. Snyder was awarded the 2012 David Gergen Award for Leadership and Professionalism, Elon Law's highest honor for a graduating law student. Prior to joining Charlotte Immigration Law Firm in 2014, Mr. Snyder practiced immigration law with firms in Greensboro and Charlotte. Mr. Snyder is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar, the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Snyder has been recognized by Business North Carolina as one of North Carolina's "Legal Elite" and by Best Lawyers as one of "The Best Lawyers in America."
